Project 4: Joint
This piece is a hanging paper sculpture with four paper chains, each chain containing 6 sets of paper ‘joints’, attached together through string. Each chain mimics a person’s spine- the backbone of the body. By connection multiple spines, the sculpture intends to symbolize the idea that all humans are interconnected. Thus the connection itself becomes the ‘backbone’ of a relationship, emphasizing the importance of support to human connection.
